Derek Gilmer – Pedorthist
Derek Gilmer is a Canadian Certified Pedorthist with 19 years of experience and the owner of Healthy Steps Pedorthic Clinic. He is delighted to join the team at Ottawa Orthopaedic Centre. As a Pedorthist he is exclusively trained in the assessment, design, manufacture, fit, and modification of custom-made orthotics, footwear and other lower limb devices.
His passion is to help his clients live an active and healthy lifestyle on their feet. Derek has experience working with individuals from all ages and activity levels helping them to improve mobility by alleviating and managing pain, discomfort, and disabilities with their feet and lower limbs. Having personally designed and hand crafted well over 8 000 pairs of orthotics he takes pride in providing the best quality and most comfortable orthotics possible.
