Dr. Darryl Young – Orthopaedic Surgeon
Dr. Young received his MD degree from Memorial University of Newfoundland. He completed Orthopedic Residency at the University of Ottawa, followed by subspecialty training in Shoulder and Upper Limb Surgery at the Hand and Upper Limb Centre at the University of Western Ontario and in Auckland, New Zealand. His current primary clinical interests are shoulder arthroscopy and shoulder joint replacement surgery.
He is currently the Chief of Surgery at Kemptville District Hospital (KDH) with his surgical practice split between KDH and Queensway Carleton Hospital.
He is passionate about medical humanitarian work and has led multiple surgical volunteer teams to Haiti with the organization Team Broken Earth.
Hobbies include kitesurfing, mountain biking and snowboarding.
